In September 2013, Fruit Couture was created by Fruit Designer, Jackie Bonilla. She started the business in her last year at Ottawa University, and was prompted to do so after having created an owl fruit sculpture for a friend's babyshower.

Jackie's vision for her business is to offer trendy fruit creations that are unique and distinct. Fruit Couture is influenced by art and fashion which are expressed through the various creations made. Chocolate is also an important part of the business and are used in many of the creative products available.
