University of Ottawa Heart Institute

For the second year in a row, Ottawa Foodie Girlz will be focusing its February fundraising efforts for the Ottawa Heart Institute. All funds raised during heart month will go towards a new hybrid operating room. It provides one setting for multi-disciplinary team of cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists to work side-by-side treating all types of cardiac cases. 

As a community champion, we have committed to raising as much funds as possible for the Ottawa Heart Institute in February. Last year we raised $1000 and this year our goal to raise double or $2000. Ottawa Foodie Girlz will be hosting an online auction February 15-20, 2016 with 100% of the proceeds going to Ottawa Heart Institute during the month of February.

 

PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID:

YOU MUST SIGN UP TO BID ON ITEMS

1. All bidders must register in order to place a bid.

2. The Auction will begin at 9:00am EST on MONDAY FEBRUARY 15, 2016 here on the http://ottawafoodiegirlz2016.eflea.ca/ website. The auction closes on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 20, 2016 at 9:00pm EST.

3. Founder, Judy Hum-Delaney of Ottawa Foodie Girlz will be the sole administrator for the auction. If you have any questions please contact us at: [email protected].

4. Each item will be will have a description, retail value, sponsor info and the starting bid. By bidding on an item, you are responsible for the item(s). You also agree to abide by all special conditions (if any) when bidding on an item. All items have no cash value. 

5. We encourage you to bid and bid often, this is for charity after all! There is no limit to the number of items that you can bid on BUT just remember you are responsible for all your bids. If you are the winning bidder (the last highest bidder) then you are responsible for paying the amount you submitted for each item. Once a bid is placed, it may not be deleted.

6. All bids are made in Canadian funds.

7. The administrator reserves the right to remove any bid for any reason but will contact the bidder to notify them.

8. When the auction closes (Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 9:00pm EST), winning bidders will receive an email notification. This notification will give you instructions on how to pay via Paypal with a credit card. You do not need to have a Paypal account to make a payment. As the winner, you are responsible for all your items and paying for them within 2 days of the auction ending.  If arrangement for payment is not within 2 days, we will offer the item to the next highest bidder. Shipping may require an additional fee if you live outside the Ottawa-Hull area and are not able to pickup the item.

9. Auction items will only be released to the winning bidders once full payment has been received and confirmed.

10. Returns and/or exchanges are not permitted. Please read the details and notes section carefully so you know what you are bidding on and where it can be used.

Winning Bidder Payment Information

Winning bidders will be contacted at the end of the auction to make arrangements for payment and pickup/delivery of their items. If you have the winning bid for more than one item, the system will add all of your winning bids together so that you can make one easy payment.

Payment Types Accepted:

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Paypal. Note: You do not need to have a Paypal account to make a payment.

Winning Bidder Item Pickup/Delivery:

  • Winning Bidders will be contacted to arrange for pickup or electronic transfer (via email) of the item.
  • Shipping may require an additional fee if you live outside the Ottawa-Hull area. Contact the Auction Administrator For Details

 

General Auction Information

  • The time on this server will be used to determine the start and end times of the auction. This time may be off from your local time. Refer to the approximate time in the right hand side of this page.
  • When the auction closes, all bidders will receive an e-mail regarding the status of the items they have bid on.
  • The highest bid placed on an item, by auction close, is the winner. There can only be one winner per auction item. The auction administrator (group hosting the auction) agrees to sell the item to the highest bidder.
  • You must register an account in order to place bids. Click Register on the upper right hand side of this page in the login area. Once you have registered, a confirmation/activation will be emailed to you. You must click on the link in the email message to complete the registration process. If you haven't received your confirmation email, please check your "junk mail" or "spam" folder as it may have gone there. You can also re-request the confirmation email. The link for resending the activation code can be found in the login area.
