The zoo has the largest and most diverse animal education outreach program in Canada and is extremely proud of the reputation they have built.

Their one of a kind, fun and interactive approach to Eco-Education has been a hit with children and adults alike since 1995. It is this very approach that has won them acclaim and awards working with children of all ages, including the visually impaired, special needs and autistic children. They share their time between both countries, which means we can visit coconut oil pressing plants, see how cocoa trees grow, and get fresh orange oil from the orchard. We make clean cosmetics, personal care & home products that are responsible, natural – organic whenever possible – products that foster skin and hair’s health. Everything has to smell yummy in addition to doing what it says it does. Julia started Jollification because she couldn’t find clean cosmetics that 1. smelled delicious 2. were effective and 3. were responsible, clean & honest. Emilie became hooked fairly quickly to the products, so it became a pretty natural thing to do this together. It didn’t start out of nowhere though. When Julia was about 10 or 11, she started making her own self care products. She has always loved botany, chemistry and cooking, which all get combined to make this Jollification. She had given the boys their love of cooking and furthermore had all the best recipes in her head.  As the word spread about her famous “Rice and Potato Rolls”, customers would come in not just to eat, but to see Nonna as well. Once things began to take off, they decided in order to keep up with customers’ demands a bigger space was needed.

Construction began in 2003 for the opening of the newest location just off Riverside Drive in the south end of the city where the community was in need of dining options.  Doors opened in mid March and have become a main stay in the community.  The Riverside Drive location has an open concept dining room with a view of the open kitchen from any seat in the house.  The main focal point is the floor to ceiling glass wine cellar, which is spectacular.  Again the wine selection is amazing housing over 600 labels and many staff are sommeliers for assistance in choosing the perfect wine for your visit.
