Jollification is run by two lovely ladies (who happen to be sisters), and help from a very lovely husband. First, the countries: Julia & Emilie are both Canadian, and Julia’s husband is Dominican. They share their time between both countries, which means we can visit coconut oil pressing plants, see how cocoa trees grow, and get fresh orange oil from the orchard. We make clean cosmetics, personal care & home products that are responsible, natural – organic whenever possible – products that foster skin and hair’s health. Everything has to smell yummy in addition to doing what it says it does. Julia started Jollification because she couldn’t find clean cosmetics that 1. smelled delicious 2. were effective and 3. were responsible, clean & honest. Emilie became hooked fairly quickly to the products, so it became a pretty natural thing to do this together. It didn’t start out of nowhere though. When Julia was about 10 or 11, she started making her own self care products. She has always loved botany, chemistry and cooking, which all get combined to make this Jollification. We are exceedingly choosy with the ingredients as well as the formulations (alright, you got us, and the packaging too), and try to source as many things locally and/or responsibly as possible. Sustainability, efficiency and responsible business practices are very important to us (and if you want to hear more about ours, we’d love to bend your ear.)
